  Dine out to Educate a Child

  For those of you supporting our Bali Dynasty Charity effort will already be aware that we are currently featuring our ‘Dine out to Educate a Child’ Program in our Golden Lotus Restaurant until the 31st December.
  
  During the promotional period 5% of Food revenue (excluding Dim Sum Sunday Buffets) will be donated directly to our Charity effort.
  
  Diners will be encouraged to support the initiative through a dining card with which they can win a return trip to Kuala Lumpur for two people  
  with Qatar Airways, with two nights accommodation at the Parkroyal Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

  New Coffee Shop on track

   The New Coffee Shop is well on it's way to be completed by the deadline in mid-December. The new style will give a fresh modern and clean look. Chef's will prepare food from the open kitchen directly onto the hot buffet counter ensuring a fresher and higher quality breakfast.
  
  In the evenings the coffee shop will be open, with the show kitchen serving an eclectic mix of euro-asian speciaties prepared before your very eyes.

  Queens of India Restaurant

  A new welcome addition to our wide range of dining choices at the resort is the recently opened Queen’s of India Restaurant located at the hotel entrance.
  .
  Queen’s is Indonesia’s oldest and largest chain of Indian restaurants with chefs specially flown in direct from India. Offering authentic Indian Cuisine and specializing in the Restaurant’s famous Tandoor Cooking. Queen’s of India opens from 10am to 10pm.

  Our Festive Season Program 2008

  Here’s a sneak preview of our upcoming Christmas and New Year’s Program.
  
   

  Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner at the Tropical Café  (7pm to 10pm) -. Bring the entire family and dine under the stars at the Tropical Café while listening to a children's choir, watching a magic show and feasting from a special Christmas Eve Buffet with all the trimmings. Price at Rp.195,000 nett per person. Price includes free-flow soft drinks with children under 6 years free, and kids between 7 to 12 years for only Rp75,000 net.
  
  
  

  
  
  Christmas Day Buffet Lunch  (12.00pm to 2.00pm) - On Christmas day we talk Turkey. A traditional Christmas Day Buffet luncheon with all the trimmings. A gift from Santa for all children under 12 years of age, Christmas carols from a children's choir and Batak quartet, and free flow soft drinks, a Bucks Fizz Cocktail for the parents on arrival. All for just Rp. 225,000 net for Adults. Children 7 to 12 years eat for half price and Children under 6 years old eat for free!.
  
  
  Christmas Day Buffet Dinner at Tropical Café  (7pm to 10pm) - The Tropical Café will offer a special Christmas day Buffet dinner with traditional Christmas fayre, with the famous Ramayana Ballet.   Welcome in the New Year in the Nusa Penida Ballroom – (7.30pm to 1.00am) Join our Gala Dinner Extravaganza with a Tropical Paradise Party theme at the Grand Nusa Penida Ballroom for only Rp. 450,000 net per person. A night of great food, live Entertainment with a Live Band, Lucky Draw, Party Novelties, Free flow Beer & Soft Drinks for an hour and a Glass of Sparkling Wine at midnight for the Adults.   *During 24th, 25th and 31st December there will be NO Theme Night Buffet Dinners because of our Festive Programs.

  There is also another survey, this time by the Indonesian Ministry of Culture and Tourism who is asking everyone with an internet connection and a love for Indonesia to participate in a worldwide destination election. Supporters of Bali can cast their vote here  until the 31st December 2008. If Indonesia's wonders are placed amongst the first 20 nominations they will enter into the second round.   We love the new deck on the Sunset Bar, I think it is more inviting for people to go up there now, as I think before only a Few would go as there wasn't many seats around the Bar, but now with the deck it was Full every afternoon, and everyone was having a great time and having the acoustic Band back is a great idea. Well Gracie Kelly’s what can we say, The Staff, the atmosphere, the Band and the Food all Magnificent. You feel so Welcome and Happy every time you walk in there. Not to say all the other bars and restaurants aren't great as well.. We love the idea of the New Noodle Cart around the Main Pool at lunch times I think this will be a great new asset also, and hopefully will make more people try the local food. Love the Mie Goreng.

  Employee of the Month

  This month’s Employee of the Month for the Front of the House is Made Kertawijaya of Food & Beverage Service Dept. Known to his friends as Wijaya, Made is the friendly happy face you will see at Gracie Kelly’s where he works as Waiter. Made joined Bali Dynasty Resort in 1991 and says his favourite pastime is spending quality time with his 2 Kids.
