To celebrate Australia Day on the 26th January, Gracies says Gday mate as we stage an Aussie extravaganza at Gracie Kellys Irish Pub.
From 7.00pm onwards you can be sure that the 26th January will be a big night out at Gracies as we celebrate Australia day. We will be serving up good old Aussie Tucker and dig into Aussie meat pies, Bangers and Mash and other Aussie favourites on the Gracies menu. Lets not forget our Australian day Quiz and great Live Music by our resident band, Gracies famous Rais Paddies band who will take to the stage to give you some foot stomping music

 You simply must try our Golden Lotus Delicious Dish of the Quarter, which has been specially created by Our Master Chef for your enjoyment.
This quarter its Braised Seafood & Chinese Cabbage in a spicy Szechuan Sauce presented on your very own hot Chinese burner.
The dish is served with Prawns, Crab sticks, Fish sticks, Black Mushrooms, Red Chili, Onions, Leeks, Chinese Cabbage, Spicy Szechuan Sauce mixed with Chicken Stock.

Balis Beverage shortage

 Over the past couple of months there has been a bit of a liquor crisis that has hit Indonesia which has meant short supplies of various spirits and wines. What little is available is on the market at much higher prices than normal and therefore we have had to adjust our prices for this premium liquor accordingly. Unfortunately we have received more negative feedback than ever about our beverage pricing due to this, but unfortunately this has been out of our control.
Fortunately it would now seem that the end of this situation is "nigh" and we have been advised that new supplies of liquor will be in Bali soon. Let's wait and see!

Back to Bali Dynasty party in Perth

 The date for the 16th Annual Back to Bali Dynasty Party in Perth has now been set for Saturday, February 7th 2009 and we will once again be holding our Party at the Western Australian Italian Club on Fitzgerald Street in North Perth.
As usual we look forward to your normal support to make our entire Charity Project feasible.
As usual the money raised at the event is used to help the poor kids of Bali, so your attendance will be supporting a good cause.
As well as entertainment and dancing; we have a sit down three course dinner and a fantastic raffle draw with over 100 different prizes such as accommodation, tours, including a chance to win flights and holidays to Bali. Raffle tickets will be on Sale on the Night.
You can also expect to see some of your favourite Bali Dynasty Staff in attendance too and we will be compiling the final list of names very soon.(visit website to see who is attending!)
Tickets will be available in early January and will all be on a pre-sell basis directly from the WA Italian Club.

During the promotional period, 5% of Food revenue (excluding Dim Sum Sunday Buffets) are being donated to our Charity effort. Bali Situation

 We have been receiving a lot of emails following the execution of the Bali bombers, which prompted the Australian government to re-issue their travel advisory for Bali, asking what the situation is like. It is important to note that the level of the travel advisory did not change (and hasnt changed since October 2002) however it just included more information with regards to the executions and possible reprisals. Fortunately everything has been calm and the increased security presence is certainly reassuring. As you travel on the outskirts of Kuta in the evening  there are often several road blocks pulling over all vehicles and checking the contents, passenger IDs and registration documents. Our staff report regular sweeping by the local banjar of the boarding houses ensuring all those there have valid IDs for Bali. Reports also of additional security at the ports and terminals is reassuring as well as a large plain closed contingent. To support this we also have in the South Kuta Beach area a private patrol of security personnel who patrol the street outside the hotel. These people are made up of local people from the village and they are able to easily spot people who may be loitering or are out of place in our area. The hotel itself is still maintaining a high level of security with the operation of the boom gate for all vehicles accessing the inner compound (still limited to pick up and drop off) as well as checking all guests arriving on foot offering that added security to our in house guests.

 Those of you who have been back to the Bali Dynasty Resort in the last 6 months or so will have seen the major transformations that the resort has experienced giving the entire approach and frontage a fresher and more modern look.
We will continue to modernise in 2009 with the refurbishment of 120 rooms in both the North Pool Wing and South Pool Wing between February and May. All rooms will be totally modernised with modern bathrooms, improved lighting, new bedrooms with new furniture and large sliding doors opening out onto either the patios or balconies.

 Bali Canyon Tubing Adventure.
Heres a great day out that brings you close to the unspoiled nature of Bali where you still can find untouched flora and fauna.
Drift down the exciting Siap Stream in the Payangan area (North of Ubud) in your own Inflatable raft and discover the many different species of plants and animals that make Bali their home. See groups of monkeys playing in the surrounding forests or see rare species of birds. You will be amazed how many different kinds of plants and flowers grow along the canyon.
Discover the hidden canyons of north Payangan, through which a crystal clear stream flows by floating down the canyon in your own Inflatable.
After arriving at the start point, professional guides give you detailed safety instructions for tubing and the flying fox.
From there, a special Off Road car will transport you to the Canyon slope and after a short descent into the Canyon, your adventure begins!
At some of the canyons more challenging spots you can either choose to use the specially made flying fox or the conveniently constructed wooden footpaths that take you safely past the obstacles. So whether you go with your friends or your family, everybody will enjoy this great outdoor adventure.

 We are pleased to announce that Wifi is now available in all rooms as well as in most public areas of the hotel. This enables you to conveniently get connected wherever you are in the resort as long as you have some kind of wireless device (PDA or laptop).In addition to this we offer 4 internet terminals for use in our Guest Activities Centre just off the main lobby.

 There have been some major developments with regards to the progress of the Children of Pengalusan. There are now an incredible 82 children currently in the Pengalusan school, of which 25 are in senior high school, all run by the East Bali Poverty Project.
Out of the 82 Children 57 children in the Elementary & Junior high school in Pengalusan are still sponsored by the generous donations from the guests of the Bali Dynasty Resort.
What is hard to believe is that a village of 65 families, not one ever had a  single graduate from even a primary school before we were able to launch our Pengalusan programme in September 2000. That is great news indeed!
Dont forget we are still running our Make a difference programme highlighting ways you can help the children by pledging for various items they are in dire need of.

Our Employee of the Month (Front of the House) has been awarded to Oka Arsika, the friendly smiling face you may have seen welcoming you at the Resort Front Desk. 
Our Employee of the Month (Heart of the House) is Wayan Ekamara. Wayan works behind the scenes at the resort in the Engineering department.
Our Supervisor of the Quarter is another behind the scenes guy working at the Accounting department. Ida Bagus Sujana, or Bagus to his friends is responsible for the daily Income Audit.
