Welcome to our bumper December 2010 edition of the Bali Dynasty Newsletter.

Don't let the palm trees and balmy outside temperatures mislead you . . . its Christmas time in Bali.

It may be the start of the rainy season in Bali, but the spirit of Christmas is well and truly with us.

Our guests are welcomed by our 4 meter Christmas tree that adorns our Lobby, such is life in Bali.

Gracies Goes Down Under

To celebrate Australia Day on the 26th January, Gracies says “G’day mate” as we stage an Aussie extravaganza at Gracie Kelly’s Irish Pub.
From 7.00pm onwards dig into Aussie meat pies, Bangers and Mash and other Aussie favourites on the Gracie’s menu.
Gracie’s famous Rais Paddies band take to the stage to give you some foot stomping music
Win some great prizes in our Lucky Draw and Drinking Competition.
Don’t miss a real Aussie night out….and no one throws a party quite like the Irish!!!
 

Back to Bali Dynasty Party in Perth

Looking ahead to Saturday, February 12th  2011, we will once again be holding our Annual ‘Back to Bali Dynasty’ Charity Dinner for 2011 at the Western Australian Italian Club at Fitzgerald Street in North Perth.
We need your support more than ever this year, as this will be our 18th ‘Back to Bali Dynasty’ party.
As usual the money raised at the event is used to help the poor kids of Bali, so your attendance will be assisting the Charity effort the Bali Dynasty supports.
Apart from a great night’s entertainment, we have a sit down three course dinner and a fantastic Lucky Draw when you have the chance to win trips to Bali, Accommodation, and a host of Bali Tours., LUCKY DRAW tickets will be on Sale on the Night.
You can also expect to see some of your favourite Bali Dynasty Staff in attendance too and we will be compiling the final list of names very soon.(visit website to see who is attending!)
The dress code will be 'Smart Casual’.
Tickets are available for sale at the Italian Club from Monday to Friday between 2pm – 4.30pm. The price for Adults is AUD 40 and Children AUD 30 (payment by cash only). Last ticket sales will be on Thursday February 10th.
THERE WILL BE NO SALE OF  DOOR TICKETS ON THE NIGHT.
Once again all the proceeds raised will be going to the Bali Dynasty Charity effort to educate the poor children of North Eastern Bali. Join us and support a great cause.
 

Dynasty's Got Talent

You may have heard of the TV show, now you can see the real thing as we present our very own Staff Talent show….and you will be the judges!!
Starting soon at the Tropical Café each Tuesday we will present a number of acts, all of which will be our staff members, for you to decide which one will go to the final.
And if you are not at Bali Dynasty at the time we will upload the whole show to You Tube where you can vote online.
The winning act will receive Rp.1,000,000 cash and a host of sponsors prizes.   Watch this space for more information.

Our Star Performers

Every month we hold a staff gathering, where we celebrate our staff birthdays and present an update on new hotel products and services.  Here are our winners for November 2010.  These staff have excelled in their duties and the services offered to our guests.  We also have a Guest Nomination Award and this award is chosen by our guests who fill in the guest nomination forms when they are departing the Resort after their holiday.

Our Employee of the Month for Front of the House is Ketut Ardanayasa, or Yasa as his friends call him.
He may be a familiar face to some of you as he works in the Housekeeping department keeping your room clean.
Yasa lives in Denpasar with his wife and two children and is passionate about motorcycles as his hobby.
Yasa joined Bali Dynasty in 1991, so is actually older than he looks!!





Our Employee of the Month Heart of the House is Wayan Budiarsa, or Budi.
Budi works at the Accounting Department and is somewhat of a superstar as he loves being involved with all the staff stage shows we do.
Budi lives in Denpasar with his 2 Children who are obviously destined for showbusiness.
Budi has been with the resort since 1996.






Finally our Guest Nomination for November is Ngurah Suarbawa from the Housekeeping Department.
He is quite a familiar face and well known by many of our guests.
His three children keep him busy during hometime and he has been with Bali Dynasty since 1990 almost when the hotel first opened.

New renovations are great. The walk in shower in the room is really good. The shelf under the basin is a great idea.
Having breakfast by the pool is great, much nicer than in the restaurant. The staff are very professional and know exactly what you want.
We love coming back to the Dynasty for our holidays. It is so nice that the staff doesn’t change too much. It’s great to see the same faces. Also thank you for the returnee vouchers, the laundry is great. It really does feel like we come home.
